Type | Heavy Armor Sets |
- For the Dark Souls III variant, see Faraam Set (Dark Souls III).
The Faraam Set is a heavy armor set in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- Worn by the Forossa Lion Knights.
- The mighty Lion Knights, worshippers of the war god Faraam, wore heavy armor and were feared for their nimble two-handed swordplay.
- But their legacy was cut short with the fall of Forossa.
Availability[]
Looted from a corpse near the King's Gate bonfire in Drangleic Castle. The last soul-sealed door on the left side of the room contains a collapsible floor, guarded by a Ruin Sentinel. Dropping down the hole lands the player next to a corpse containing the Faraam Set.
It is strongly advised that one tries to dispatch the Ruin Sentinel in the main area, as it will most likely pursue the player down the hole and follow them, which could lead to the death of unaware or weak players.
Characteristics[]
The Faraam Set is the lightest of the heavy armor sets with a weight of 30 units, right at the point of any armor being considered a heavy set. As such, it should be seen as a middle point between the heavy sets and the medium armors.
Due to its low weight, its physical defense and poise are relatively low compared to other heavy sets. However, it has better Poison resistance, and the lower weight makes it easier to maneuver in combat, as the heavier sets with higher defense tend to make most builds unable to move efficiently.

Trivia[]
- The Faraam Set is the flagship armor of Dark Souls II, much like the Elite Knight Set for Dark Souls, being used in virtually every promotional advertisement, on the game's boxart and for the Collector's Edition statue.
- The Faraam Set is named after Faraam, God of War.
- In New Game Plus, a Dark Spirit wearing the Faraam Set appears at the bottom of the Grave of Saints, which drops a Soul of a Great Hero.
