Faintstones are upgrade materials in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- An altered state of titanite. Used to imbue weapons with magic or provide magic reduction to shields.
- Sorcerers at the "Melfian Academy" once attempted to imbue titanite with various elements, but are said to have failed.
- Someone else must have succeeded though; what else would explain this stone?
General Information[]
Used to infuse a weapon to the Magic upgrade path at Blacksmith McDuff.
Availability[]
- One of the items that can be received from Dyna & Tillo in exchange for a Small Smooth & Silky Stone
- One can be obtained in the Dragon Shrine, on the corpse near the Priest who casts lightning miracles.
- Doors of Pharros, first Pharros' contraption on the left after going up the ladder will unlock a path below it with a chest containing one and a Twinkling Titanite.
- After the Undead Crypt has been cleared, Stone Trader Chloanne will sell 3 of these stones for 7000 souls each.
- In Scholar Of The First Sin, Basilisks sometimes drop them.
Trivia[]
- Faintstones have some similarities with the Faintstones of Demon's Souls.
