Embers are consumable items in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- No Unkindled can ever truly claim the embers that burn within a champion's bosom, which is precisely what makes their yearning for warmth so keen.
- Gain the strength of flame and increased max HP until death.
- With the strength of fire, the summoning signs of Unkindled become visible, and seekers of embers can be summoned to join in co-operating. But beware, the embers may also attract invaders.

General information[]
When an Ember is consumed, the player will become a Host of Embers. This will enable invasions and summoning, as well as restoring all of the player's HP and increase their maximum HP by 30%.
Alternatives[]
There are other methods to become a Host of Embers without using an Ember. This can be useful for players that lack Embers or who simply want to conserve them. These include:
- Defeating a boss in the player's own world.
- Defeating a boss while summoned as a white or gold phantom. This will also award an extra Ember.
- Defeating a Host of Embers while invading by using the Red Eye Orb.
Notes[]
- Players should take the area they're in into consideration before using an Ember. Being a Host of Embers near high-traffic PvP areas, such as the Farron Keep or Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, can quickly lead to players being overwhelmed by the amount of invasions that can happen in a short timespan, likely wasting Embers in the process due to deaths that would've been avoided by consuming the Ember at the end of the area.
