The Elite Knight Set is a medium armor set in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

Armor made of bradden steel. Provides sturdy defense, making it an old-time favorite of elite knights.

Bradden steel is used widely in Drangleic. This fine alloy is made from ores mined in the southern kingdom.

• Sold by Maughlin the Armorer in Majula for 11,600 souls after spending 1,000 souls at his shop.

Characteristics

The Elite Knight Set is a very well-balanced medium armor set, boasting great physical and elemental defenses, as well as decent bleed and poison resistances, and some appreciable, but rather unremarkable, Poise. While the set does boast a great defense/weight ratio, some heavier medium armor sets still outperform it significantly, namely the Throne Watcher Set and the Drakeblood Set, though the latter is only obtainable via a DLC.

Being considerably easier to acquire in Scholar of the First Sin, the Aurous' Set is a much better alternative, as it outperforms the Elite Knight set in every possible way (except for the durability but with only 20 points of difference).

However, many new players may be warded off by this set at first, as the high weight, coupled with a low vitality stat, is quite an ill combination.
