|Elite Knight Set|
|Type||Medium Armor Set|
Availability[edit | edit source]
Plot[edit | edit source]
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
The set boasts one of the highest defense/weight ratios in the game, with stats comparable to that of Havel's Set or the Stone Set when fully upgraded, while weighing nowhere near as much. On the other hand, the Elite Knight set features generally unremarkable Poise. As this set can be acquired relatively early in the game, it stands as a viable choice for low-level characters to rely on, and potentially throughout the entirety of the game with frequent upgrading. Due to its low weight compared to much heavier sets with similar defenses that are much more costly to upgrade, a high level player could be able to obtain full mobility despite the weight, resulting in much more effective combat with both defense and agility.
Notes[edit | edit source]
The Elite Knight Set's poise was nerfed in 1.04, but buffed in Patch 1.06.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The descriptions of the set pieces say they were worn by an "elite knight of Astora", and that this knight "perished at the Undead Asylum, and went Hollow." This is referring to Oscar, Knight of Astora, who is the first NPC the player meets.
- This is the armor that was most thoroughly used in advertisement and its helm is found on the special edition alternative cover art of the game. For these reasons, many people see this set as the "signature" armor of the game.
