The Dried Finger is an online play item in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Online play item.
Dried finger with multiple knuckles.
Use to strength connection to other worlds, allowing the summoning of a third phantom, but also a second dark spirit.
Also makes the summon of a dark spirit occur earlier. Use with caution.

Availability[]

Sold by the Shrine Handmaid in Firelink Shrine for 2,000 souls.

Usage[]

Increases the number of maximum guest players in a Host of Embers' world from 3 to 5. Host will go from a maximum of two summons and one invader for a total of four players, to three summons and two invaders for a total of six players. In territory defender areas (Crucifixion Woods, Irithyll of the Boreal Valley after Pontiff Sulyvahn), the numbers are increased from one phantom and two invaders, to two phantoms and three invaders.

Using the Dried Finger will also move the host's world to the top of the invasion priority queue and reset the cooldown timer for being invaded, while also decreasing the minimum interval for subsequent invasions. As well, whenever a host-allied phantom enters the world (whether by being summoned via White Sign Soapstone or by covenant through Way of Blue), the invasion cooldown timer is immediately reset.

Notes[]

  • A host who has not summoned any allies will only be subject to one invader at a time, two in territory defender areas. An additional invader may only enter the world once the host has summoned at least one White Sign phantom, or a Blue Sentinel or Darkmoon Blade has been called to their world.
  • In territory defender zones, one invader slot is always reserved for a territory defender. Thus, in Crucifixion Woods and Farron Keep, as well as Irithyll of the Boreal Valley and Anor Londo, only two red/purple phantoms may be present at any time with Dried Finger active, one without.
