The Dragon Crest Shield is a medium shield in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A knight's shield engraved with a crest depicting a dragon.
- One of the enchanted blue shields. The Dragon Crest Shield greatly reduces fire damage.

Repel an attack at the right time to follow up with a critical hit. Works while equipped in either hand.
Availability[]
Found in Farron Keep. On the bridge above the Old Wolf of Farron bonfire, turn right and head towards the closed gate, then drop off the destroyed railing to the right. Navigate the platforms to reach the other side, the shield will be found on a corpse near the dead wyvern, amongst scattered Crystal Lizards.

One of two returning crest shields from Dark Souls and one of the four enchanted blue shields in Dark Souls III, the Dragon Crest Shield specializes in blocking Fire damage.
While it serves as a good general-purpose medium shield due to its moderate weight and stability, all-round elemental defense and 100% physical damage block, it is generally outclassed by the Black Knight Shield, which possesses significantly more stability while still having comparable Fire absorption. The only advantage that the Dragon Crest Shield holds over the Black Knight Shield is that it requires 4 less points in Strength to wield and weights 2.5 units less, making it useful for builds that do not invest heavily in Strength or Vitality.
