The Dingy Robe is a chest armor piece in Dark Souls. It is part of the Dingy Set.

In-Game Description

Worn by the Fire Keeper at Firelink Shrine.

It is thought to have once been the white robe of a maiden, but smoke and ashes from bonfires darkened it over the years.

Availability

Found in Anastacia of Astora's cage after she is killed by Lautrec.

Characteristics

The Dingy Robe has the highest Magic and Lightning defenses of any chest piece when fully upgraded. It also has high Curse resistance, even when non-upgraded, and decent Bleed/Poison resistances. While its physical defenses are mediocre, they are decent for its weight when upgraded, and the piece is unusually more effective against Strike-type attacks when compared to its other physical defense stats.
