"Naked and of unknown origin. Either an unfathomable fool in life, or was stripped of possessions upon burial."
— Character Creation

The Deprived is one of the classes in Dark Souls 3.

It has a complete lack of focus in its stats, with all of them being 10 at the start. In combination with its low level of 1 this makes it a flexible, if non-optimal base for any build or respec the player wishes to do.

The Club is a simple yet strong weapon thanks to its quick attack speed and good strike damage. Its Weapon Art, Warcry, further increases damage by 10% for 30 seconds, and replaces the jump of its heavy attack with a flurry of blows, turning it into a stronger yet similarly niche attack. Its main disadvantage is its heavy focus on Strength-scaling as that might limit build potential a bit.

The Plank Shield however is pretty much useless for blocking and should be replaced as soon was possible, most likely by either the Large Leather Shield or by the Silver Eagle Kite Shield (though the latter requires an additional point in Strength to wield).

Its lonely Loincloth is rather insufficient as armor, serving only to gain the flat armor bonus for having something equipped in an armor slot, and to gain a small amount of elemental defence and Poison resistance. To fill the remaining slots and gain more of an armor bonus, the Sword Master outside Firelink Shrine drops the Master's Attire and the Master's Gloves, or the Chain Set can be bought from the Shrine Handmaid for 2,300 souls total. Pieces of the Deserter Set can also be gained in High Wall of Lothric by killing Hollow Soldiers.
