For other uses, see Demon (disambiguation).

Demons (sometimes referred to as Fire Demons to differentiate them from other members of the Demon race) are optional minibosses in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Demons were born of the Chaos Flame, but the flame has not survived, and the demons are a dying race.

Locations[]

  • Undead Settlement
    • Make the lift that leads to the Road of Sacrifices go down and step on the upper part that arrives in its place. Drop to a small, wooden scaffolding near the middle of the ride, where Siegward can be found a second time. The Demon can be seen in the distance.
  • Catacombs of Carthus
    • Cut the ropes of the hanging bridge that leads to High Lord Wolnir and climb down by the hanging piece left afterward. The Demon is encountered in the next room after going through a small cave.

Description[]

Demons are monstrous beings born of the Chaos Flame, but since the flame has not survived, demons are a dying race.[1] Fire Demons themselves appear to be made of gnarled, burned wood, and wield a large, glowing axe to compliment their fiery bodies, along with possessing a large pair of horns.

Notes[]

  • Affected by Alluring Skulls.
  • Can be affected by Rapport.
  • The demon in the Catacombs of Carthus can be lured to the hallway near the bridge-turned-ladder and attacked safely from a distance with a crossbow or bow. It can still attack and damage the player if they stand too close to the doorway, so standing near the stalagmites is advised. As long as the attacks are kept up, it will continue to run against the doorway, resulting in an easy kill. This can also be done with the other hallway, though there is a high chance to be attacked by the skeletons if they choose to not attack the demon.
