The Demon's Scar (デーモンの爪痕 Demon no Sōkon, Demon's Clawmark) is a soul-transposed curved sword in Dark Souls III: The Ringed City.

Characteristics[]
The Demon's Scar is a highly flexible weapon that serves as both a curved sword and Pyromancy Flame. Combining the light curved sword moveset of the Scimitar with the power to cast Pyromancies, it boasts an extremely low weight and is the only weapon in the game to deal purely Fire damage.
By using the strong attack, whether one-handing, two-handing or off-handing, the player will cast the currently equipped Pyromancy. This gives the weapon great flexibility, as the wielder is capable of unleashing an onslaught of quick slash attacks, and mix it with various Pyromancies for fast and deadly combinations, such as blasting a foe with Black Flame after staggering them with an attack. Because it uses the light curved sword moveset, it is uniquely suited to being wielded in the off-hand, as it will retain the ability to attack and cast Pyromancies, leaving the main hand open to equip a heavier weapon.
However, this comes at the cost of being unable to perform the strong attacks usually associated with light curved swords, limiting the Demon's Scar's moveset to horizontal slashes. As well, the lower scaling means that Pyromancies cast using this weapon will generally be weaker than those cast from a standard Pyromancy Flame, or even a Pyromancer's Parting Flame. While it is indeed a very flexible weapon, this comes at the cost of overall strength.
Unlike other curved swords, the scaling on this weapon dictates that it is useful only for Pyromancer builds, as the majority of its damage output comes from leveling Intelligence and Faith, with only poor returns from leveling Dexterity. As well, its Spell Buff will scale only with Intelligence and Faith.
The skill of this weapon is a modified version of the normal Spin Slash of other light curved swords. Beyond dealing purely Fire damage, the strong attack ending with the vertical slam will leave a lava pool at the impact point, much like other Chaos Pyromancies.
