Dark Spirit Heide Sword Knight is an enemy that appears in the Forest of Fallen Giants only when the Bonfire Intensity of the Cardinal Tower bonfire is 2 or more.

This Dark Spirit wears the full Knight Set and is armed with a Heide Knight Sword and a Dagger.
Overview[]
Despite his choice of weaponry, he never switch to a powerstanced moveset.
Nonetheless, his mixing up of the extremely fast attacks of his dagger with the slow swings of his sword can be a deadly combination.
This style of combat and the tendency to evade attacks, which is helped by his Poise, makes him quite the challenging opponent.
Simply aggroing the one near Pate is enough to harm him, as he'll plunge down from the building and suffer the fall damage. Although risky, he can also be lured in front of the line of fire of the ballistas operated by Hollow Soldiers or among the explosive barrels just in front of them.
The other near the Dark Spirit Syan Knight can be pushed to his death down the pit full of Flame Salamanders. Otherwise the cramped corridor right after the door that requires the Soldier Key to unlock is the perfect spot to avoid being ambushed by both Dark Spirits.
He doesn't use Estus.

One is found atop the gate right next to Pate.
The other guards the King's Door alongside a Dark Spirit Syan Knight.

- Doesn't respawn after death. To have a chance to fight him again, the player needs to enter a New Game cycle or to burn a Bonfire Ascetic in the Cardinal Tower bonfire.
Trivia[]
- Despite dropping a Bleed infused Dagger, his own doesn't deal any.
- His Heide Knight Sword doesn't deal Lighting damage either.
