Online Multiplayer: | Dark Souls 1&2 both feature persistent online play elements, including both Cooperative Gameplay and Player versus Player gameplay. Unlike other games, the online component of Dark Souls 1&2 is built into the regular gameplay, meaning that if a player is online, they are open to being "invaded" by another player or "summoned" to another player's game. Players may also leave text messages for one another in the game, though the messages must be constructed from a collection of pre-selected, inoffensive words. Playing the game in offline removes all these features. |
