- For the Dark Souls II variant, see Dark Set (Dark Souls II).
The Dark Set is a medium armor set in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Armor of the Darkwraiths, relics of a small country that fell to the dark long ago.
Looks as if it may crumble to dust at any moment.
- The Darkwraiths were the oldest of the Red Eye Invaders, and rumored to have served a Primordial Serpent.
Availability[]
Dropped by the Darkwraiths in High Wall of Lothric and Farron Keep.
Appearance[]
The Dark Set is made of bones and crow feathers, making the wearer take on the appearance of a skeleton, or an otherwise skeletal being. Unlike in the previous games, the chest piece seems aged and broken, while in Dark Souls and Dark Souls II, the ribcage was not missing any bones, and instead was nearly immaculate. The armor has strangely-malformed bones sticking out of the shoulders, and the "hair" falling down from the skull mask is much more thin and transparent than in its former versions.
Characteristics[]
Given the aged and sundered appearance of the armor, the set's overall absorption is heavily compromised, and possesses a significant weakness to strike damage. Its elemental defenses and resistances (excluding Lightning and curse) remain overall average, if not a little sub-par, compared to other medium sets of similar weight. As well, its Poise to weight ratio is sub-par compared to similarly weighted sets.
The set is very weak to Lightning damage, and susceptible to Curse.
