Dark Fog (闇の霧) is a Sorcery in Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss.

In-Game Description

Abyss sorcery discovered by an Oolacile sorcerer on the brink of madness. Create a cloud of Dark Fog.

Although Dark Fog is, in theory, relatively close to humanity, it also happens to be a terrible poison for humans. Perhaps it reflects man's cruelty against his own.

Availability

Found on a dangling corpse early in the lower Oolacile Township. The rope can be shot to bring the corpse down, or the player can manipulate enemies into attacking in its direction. There is also a ladder leading to a nearby platform. From there the rope can be cut.

General information

Casting this spell creates a cloud of Poison fog at the targeted location. Unlike Poison Mist, the fog materializes directly where the spell is cast, rather than emitted from the caster. Casting time is relatively slow.

Once inflicted, its poison deals 4 damage per second over a duration of 3 minutes.

Enemies

The Bloathead Sorcerer casts a similar version to this spell. However, it deals significantly more damage than the spell that is available to the player. At nearly 10 damage per second, it is one of the deadliest sources of Poison that can be encountered.
