Availability[]
From the Corvian Settlement bonfire, head out and across the bridge. Follow the wall of the house on your left until you see a smaller bridge. Go across and follow the path to the left. On your left you will see two entrances across a small gap. Jump it and go into the house on your right. Barrels will be blocking a platform that you need to run and leap off of and land on the elevated platform with the Crow Quills.
Characteristics[]
A special thrusting sword, the Crow Quills are specially suited for aggressive playstyles and can be a force to be reckoned with in the right hands.
Scaling primarily with Dexterity, this weapon's one-handed attacks are the same as that of normal thrusting swords. However, when two-handed, rather than holding the weapon in both hands, the wielder will brandish a set of blades in the off-hand and use them to perform combination attacks. Whereas most thrusting swords have narrow poking attacks that are aimed forward, the Crow Quills allows the wielder to use the blades for slashing attacks, providing wider horizontal coverage than a thrusting sword is normally capable of. This gives the Crow Quills a rather versatile moveset in which the left-handed blades can cover for the right-handed sword's weaknesses. Of special note, the two-handed running attack provides Hyper Armor to the wielder, something that no other thrusting sword is capable of doing.
The Crow Quills also possesses a unique skill in that the off-hand blades can be thrown in a fan-shaped pattern while leaping in the air. This grants the wielder a form of ranged damage while performing an evasive maneuver, which can be a useful tool in the hands of crafty players.
