Key Items[]

Items that typically open doors and are necessary to progress through the game.

Acquisition[]

Items can be either guaranteed or non-guaranteed.

Guaranteed[]

These items are typically given from NPCs, found as items in Chests or Corpses, sold by Vendors or guaranteed drops from important characters such as Bosses or NPCs. All progression items are included in this category.

Non-guaranteed[]

These are items acquired through either killing Enemies or from Dyna & Tilo. Typically these include weapons and Miscelaneous Items or Ammunition. The rate at which these drop can be increased with Item Discovery items. Item Discovery also increases with Bonfire Intensity.

Item Limitations[]

Most enemies can drop items which they use. When an enemy drops equipment, such as a Weapon or Armor piece, they cannot drop that item again. This is a limitation enacted on each individual enemy, so you can still get 2 copies of the same weapon if there are 2 instances of enemies with it.

This limitation can be negated with Bonfire Ascetics. Bonfire Ascetics can only be used in areas where the bosses have been defeates. Upon use the reset Enemy Respawns, refill Wooden Chests and Corpses and revive any Bosses connected to the Bonfire it is burned at. The area will increase its Bonfire Intensity, acting as if it were a game cycle higher than previously.

Items with limited drops will be considered dropped even if the player does not pick up the item or if it disappears because the player character died before being able to grab it.
