Cask Runners are enemies in Dark Souls II.

Cask Runners are found throughout the Brume Tower.
Description[]
The Cask Runners are small, cowardly hollows that carry explosive barrels and run away when they are approached by the player.
Strategy[]
Their cowardly nature can be taken advantage of by chasing them into the wall-mounted fire-spewing minotaur heads or the Iron Warriors' lava stream, at which point they will explode, causing heavy damage to friend and foe alike.
Any fire or magic damage will cause them to explode. This can be used to hurt, and often kill, nearby enemies.
They can also be used to destroy certain walls in the areas they are located.
