The Caduceus Round Shield is a small shield in Dark Souls.

In-Game Description

Round wooden shield crafted in Lordran. Decorated by an ancient blue Caduceus.

The giant trees in Lordran are distant offspring of the great stone archtrees. This shield inherits their properites, and the wood greatly reduces magic damage.

Availability

The Caduceus Round Shield can be found on a corpse in the graveyard near Firelink Shrine, guarded by Scimitar-&-shield-wielding Skeleton and a Falchion-wielding Skeleton.

Characteristics

The Caduceus Round Shield shares the same characteristics as the Warrior's Round Shield and the Red & White Round Shield. It has good magic defense and is quite light, however because of its 85 physical defense, it's impractical for any situation that does not call for magic defense. It has light deflection and a fast parry animation. When upgraded to crystal, the durability becomes 18.

Attack	Description

Two-handed Weak Attack	Shield Bash.*
Two-handed Strong Attack	Holds shield up and runs forward, then slams it down at the end. Additional inputs yield a horizontal swing.*
Jump Attack	Slams shield into the ground.
Running Attack	Holds shield up and runs forward, then swings open at the end.*
Rolling Attack	Downward swing.
Kick	Push away with the shield.

Left-handed Strong Attack	Parry.
