Boss Soul Items are weapons and spells that are obtained from using the souls of various bosses and mini-bosses. Also referred to as Soul Transposition, the process allows access to equipment that is generally more powerful than those obtained through other means.
Once these conditions are met, Ludleth will now be available as a merchant for trading various boss souls, normally along with a soul cost, in order to access certain weapons and spells that are otherwise inaccessible.
Transposition rewards[]
Each soul is capable of transposing into at least two different rewards. Care should be taken when deciding which one is chosen, as only one soul from each boss can be obtained per playthrough.
Once Ludleth dies in the ritual to access the Kiln of the First Flame, the player may access soul transposition by interacting with his ashes. However, this will only work if he was given the Transposing Kiln prior to the ritual, if this is not the case then the transposition service will remain unavailable for the remainder of the playthrough.
