For the Dark Souls II variant, see Blue Wooden Shield.

The Blue Wooden Shield is a medium shield in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

A wooden shield painted bright blue, the symbol of clerics who have become undead. Close to a small shield in size.
Wooden shields are light, manageable, and offer relatively high magic absorption.
Skill: Parry
Repel an attack at the right time to follow up with a critical hit. Works while equipped in either hand.

Availability[]

Characteristics[]

Fair stability and a respectable absorption to both Magic and Lightning damage (and oddly Fire damage as well), but offers little else atop a poor physical damage absorption. The Round Shield is almost a complete upgrade to it across the chart, and boasts the same Strength requirement but with one extra unit of weight tacked on.

It is able to parry, however, which for its weight can be helpful for lighter builds.

Regardless, it is not an ideal shield to depend on against physical threats, but respectable at warding off sorceries and lightning miracles.

Upgrades[]

Reinforced with Titanite.
