Blood Gems are upgrade materials in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A gem of infused titanite.
Slurped by Irithyll slaves.
- Used in infusion to create lacerating weapons.
- Such weapons inflict lacerating damage.
Most effective with sharp or spiked weapons.
Availability[]
- Irithyll of the Boreal Valley
- Dropped by Irithyllian Slaves.
- Found in the area after the dark room filled with Irithyllian Slaves, at the base of a tree guarded by more Irithyllian Slaves before entering the riverbed.
- Painted World of Ariandel
- Found at the bottom of the rotted basement of Ariandel Chapel, guarded by numerous Giant Flies.
Usage[]
The player must obtain the Profaned Coal and give it to Andre of Astora to allow infusion of this gem into a weapon.
Use the Blood Gem to infuse a weapon with the Bleed effect. The infusion will reduce base physical damage and scaling, while adding or increasing Bleed buildup, which scales with Luck.
Notes[]
- Blood-infused weapons cannot be buffed.
