The Black Leather Set, also known as the Thief Set, is a starting armor set in Dark Souls.

Availability[]

Starting equipment for the Thief class.
Lower Undead Burg, inside one of the buildings where a Hollow Thief hides in.

Characteristics[]

The Black Leather Set is lightweight and offers decent physical defenses for its weight class, as well as very high poison resistance and the highest bleed resistance out of any of the starting sets.

As it is obtainable as a treasure in Lower Undead Burg, it is useful for almost every class to wear while exploring Blighttown, as the poison resistance prevents instant toxic status from the Blowdart Snipers.

Contrary to the item description, the Black Leather Set does not reduce noise emitted by wearers.
