The Black Iron Helm is a head armor piece in Dark Souls. It is part of the Black Iron Set.
In-Game Description
- Helm of Black Iron Tarkus, a knight known for his great strength.
- Built of a special black iron and providing strong defense, notably against fire, but so terrible heavy to be unwieldy to all but Tarkus himself.

Found with the rest of the Black Iron Set, on a corpse next to the Painted World of Ariamis entrance in Anor Londo.
Characteristics[]
When fully upgraded, it offers the second highest Flame Defense of any headpiece and tying with the Giant Helm, the Black Iron Helm has the highest Regular and Thrust Defense of any headpiece. It also offers decent Bleed resist and is one of the lightest heavy armor pieces.
