The Big Hat is a head armor piece in Dark Souls. It is part of Big Hat's Set.
In-Game Description
- Gigantic hat worn by the great sorcerer Logan. It completely hid his face, which led to his nickname "Big Hat."
- Famously antisocial, Logan used it to block out noise and people's stares so he could focus on his own thoughts, but it does not possess any special magic powers.

Dropped by Big Hat Logan when killed in The Duke's Archives.
Characteristics[]
Offers the highest Magic and Lightning defenses of any headpiece in the game, as well as decent Physical defenses for its weight. However, it has very low Fire Defense.
When fully upgraded, its Magic Defense is extraordinarily high; at 66.7 it is, by far, unmatched by any headpiece.
