- For the Dark Souls II mentioned character, see Alva the Wayfarer.
Alva, Seeker of the Spurned is a dark spirit in Dark Souls III.
Description[]
A mysterious warrior clad in the Alva Set who wields the Murakumo and an Arbalest.
Locations[]
Invades the player on the cliffside before reaching the Irithyll Dungeon. He will invade as soon as the player leaves the manor's doorway.
He invades a second time in the Ringed City as the player approaches an alleyway with a Ringed Knight and a corpse holding the Black Witch Set. The player does not have to be a Host of Embers for him to invade.
Strategy[]
Alva will mostly attack by performing his weapon's Spin Slash skill if the player wishes to fight him at close range. However, he will start loading his crossbow if the player runs away, and fires at the player if they choose to stay their distance.
Be careful when fighting on the stairs leading to Irithyll Dungeon, as his attacks can potentially knock players off. Conversely, players can use this against him as well.
Drops[]
Item | Murakumo |
Wolf Ring+3 |
Drop Rate | Guaranteed (Irithyll of the Boreal Valley) |

Notes[]
- Alva will not invade if the player has defeated Yhorm the Giant.
- Defeating Alva will cause a corpse containing his armor to appear in the lower level of the dungeon, with the crowd of Jailers and just in front of Karla's cell.
- Alva is effected by Alluring Skulls. To avoid the fight in the tight quarters, you can simply toss one down the side of the pathway where he invades and he'll leap after it, to his death.
Trivia[]
- It is the same Alva that is mentioned in Dark Souls II.
