The Alonne Greatbow is a greatbow in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- Unique bow equipped by Alonne Knights.
- This very powerful bow uses greatarrows, but each draw of the string requires a great deal of time, leaving the shooter vulnerable.
- In the heyday of the land, the Old Iron King fancied entertaining dubious and eccentric guests from faraway lands. Most of them were charlatans, but amongst the riff-raff were true masters of authentic and refined arts.
Availability[]
- Dropped by greatbow wielding Alonne Knight Captains in Iron Keep and Drangleic Castle. Guaranteed Drop from the one across from Smelter Demon's fog gate at bonfire intensity 2 or higher.
- Dropped by greatbow wielding Alonne Knights in Iron Keep.
- A +5 version is available in the Crown of the Old Iron King DLC in the side tower where Maldron the Assassin invades.
Characteristics[]
The Alonne Greatbow, along with the Possessed Armor Greatbow, is one of the two quick Greatbows meaning it does not need to be anchored before shots. It only weighs 8 units, making it lighter than the other Greatbows by either 2 or 7 units.
Its C/C Strength/Dexterity scaling is not that strong, meaning it is always weaker than the Dragonslayer Greatbow even if the latter requires 5 more Strength to wield two-handed. Still, its greater speed makes it easier to use than the Dragonslayer and unless the Possessed Armor Greatbow can take advantage of its innate Dark damage it will also be outmatched by the Alonne Greatbow (and the Possessed one also requires 3 more Strength to use two-handed).
Also, while the need to farm enemies for it makes it somewhat difficult to acquire, it being upgraded with regular Titanite means it is fairly easy to upgrade once it has been gotten.
