The Alonne Captain Set is a medium armor set in Dark Souls II.

Availability

The helm and armor are dropped exclusively by Alonne Knight Captains in the Iron Keep, Drangleic Castle, and the Memory of the Old Iron King.

Characteristics

Although classified as a medium armor set due to its weight, this armor set is in fact designed to be used with the gauntlets and leggings of the Alonne Knight Set, effectively creating a hybrid heavy set.

Compared to the Alonne Knight Set, the supplemented Alonne Captain Set boasts only slightly better physical defenses as well as improved elemental defense, and only an additional point of Poise, at the cost of almost two additional units of weight. However, the defensive differences become much more pronounced as it is upgraded. When all pieces have been upgraded to +10, the Alonne Captain Set provides improved defense against physical and elemental damage across the board compared to the Alonne Knight Set, particularly against slashing damage, although it is still rather weak against lightning damage.
