Acid Surge is a pyromancy in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Pyromancy of Carthus of the Sands.
Emits an acid which corrodes weapons and armor.
Carthus' swordsmen attached great value to victory, and would not shun the use of such pyromancies. For where is the honor in death and scoured bones?

Availability[]

Sold by Cornyx of the Great Swamp for 6,000 souls once he has been given the Carthus Pyromancy Tome.

Effect[]

The caster spews a cloud of corrosive mist, which damages the durability of all applicable equipment of enemies caught within by about 2 points per second. Cloud persists for 5-6 seconds and moves forward from the caster upon cast, meaning that each cast has the potential to reduce target durability by up to 12 points.

The durability damage inflicted by Acid Surge cannot be mitigated by wearing the Wood Grain Ring.

Notes[]

During the App 1.08 Regulation 1.20 version of the game, which was active between 21 October and 22 October, 2016, Acid Surge inflicted ten times the amount of durability damage, allowing a single cast to deal almost 120 durability damage.
