I'm currently stuck on the gaping dragon I have a mediocre shield a drake sword and +5 zweilhander (I don't have the right strength req) some basic armor with the gargoyle helm +1 on my estus flask and a random miracle that I forgot the name of. I am on prepare to die edition
Now, despite they keep changing back Priscilla's page, I'm sure she is daughter of Velka, and despite there are still some doubts, it's crystal clear she is mother of Gwyndolin and Yorshka.
That aside, my opinion is that Velka is daughter of Nito, for these reasons
-someone hypotesies that the coffin next to nito belongs to someone related to the god of death, perhaps a family member
-velka symbol are the crows, and in real life crows are often associated with death
-both velka and nito are associated with the dark
-if priscilla is daughter of velka (which i'm sure), she using a scythe as a weapon is appropriate, as scythes are associated to the grim reaper. the other scythe found in DS is found in the catacombs. priscilla's hidden power is lifehunt, related to the occult (velka) but also implicitly related to death, and the japanese description says priscilla is a "enemy of all life", while the japanese description of gravelord sword says that nito's poison is "a poison to all life". light is related to life and heat, dark is related to death and cold. while frost damage was only introduced in DS3, priscilla uses snow attacks in DS, and cold is associated to dark and death, which are nito's domain. perhaps ice is just one of priscilla's lifehunt powers
-in ds2, the god nahr alma is probably another avatar of velka, just like caitha, and nahr alma is portrayed as a grim reaper, and "his" servants wield a scythe
-AS gwyndolin IS son of priscilla, and if priscilla is daughter of Velka, and if Velka is daughter of Nito, that explains why aldric was able to recreate a weapon similar to gravelord's sword after eating gwyndolin
I'm a deprived I'm using the Drake sword but I just got to sens fortress and it does NO damage any opinions on what weapon to use?
In Short for people who don wanna read.
Looking for a Glass Canon build with high mobility focused on backstabs and ripostes. I don't care about health and im using theif dagger and long sword right now with no armour.
Long V
So this is my second post and im interesting in trying to make a build from previous games I've played cs2 and what not I yk go for one shot glass canon kinda builds I guess so I'd like a build or loadout so I can prioritise mobility with backstabs and reposites (weird combo) and uhh yeah i don't really mind low health I want to die alot anyway get the souls experiance.
Right now I just
long sword
short sword
Thief start weapon ( Thief Dagger?! )
2 Broken Swords ;-;
Axe? idk name.
Morning Star
I was thinking of maybe going for a parry dagger perhapes since I keep parrys but I can still have that mobility and extra damage from duel wielding.
And I've been playing with no armour on purpose because its fun due to mobility and uhh yeah thats that.
I just beat Havel in Undead Burg Upper level and I have beated the Dark Knight as well so I have the stone. I've also picked up an axe I forgot the name tho.
Basiclly in short.
What armour to try and get.
Weapons end game and maybe what to try get early or mid game options.
What stats to prioritise for a glass canon but also allow me to get other weapons.
Also I've been thinking of daggers based on the wiki due to high backstab.

I'm doing a Lucatiel/Hollowslayer greatsword run in DS3. I'm wondering if I should use a dex build since it has C scaling or quality?
I picked Thief.
Uhh yeah
I wanna play a hard af DS game soo idk should I change to what can I do to make the souls experience more painful?
Should I just start over and go for Deprived with no gift.
Im bored :(
I'm newbie, I play knight class and I don't know build it,I have played to lv116 but i feel it is too weak. i still use Irithyll Straight Sword to this day because i don't know if there is a better or best one. I'm quite confused about what to upgrade and what weapons I need. Can anyone help me build it ?.Thanks everyone.
I'm currently in my first playthrough of Dark Souls 3, and I've completed all the main storyline. and I wonder whether Exile Greatsword is strong enough to use in dlc1 and dlc2, and what attribute infusion would be best to use with it? Or is there any other choice of weapons to use in dlc1 and dlc2?
There is no need to worry about my levels for my character has already achieved level 189. and I can change my ability points at any time.
Like create a boss and put them in the comments y'know like in any soulsborne games is fine
I was listening to some soulsborne music the other day and noticed a major motif between the themes of Great Grey Wolf Sif and Ludwig the Holy Blade. Specifically the verse melody of Sif's theme.
A motif is a musical pattern that is recognizable throughout a composition, or multiple compositions for that matter. A great example of this in video game music is Toby Fox's work, he utilizes motifs greatly in his soundtracks for both Undertale and Deltarune.
Although following the exact same interval (though Ludwig's theme adopts a different interval in the latter end of the motif), Sif's theme is in the key of F# minor and Ludwig's theme in the key of G minor, however these sound very similar because G minor is only a minor second higher than F# minor.
I can't think of any specific reason lore-wise that would tie these two characters together, so I want to assume the composer just felt inspired by Sif's theme during their writing period. Either way, these are both absolutely amazing pieces of music and accentuate the series excellently.

Thus far I have beaten the old dragonslayer on my 4th try and the dragon rider on my 2nd try, I chose the clerick class at the start of the game but haven't really gotten a time or place for incantation spells because they do near to no damage for me, I am aiming at getting the jester armor set as quickly as possible but need tips to progress faster, from my research I have found out that the entire story takes ~34 hours if you know what you are doing which I do not.
What is the best way to play coop for dark moon blades? I mean at what lvl and weapon upgrade, on which locations I can easily find a host? Tried on all locations from road of sacrifices to Irithyll with weapon +4 and 40 level, nothing finds. Ofc low lvl, but its better to ask first before doing any lvlups
My own list for underrated would be something like:
5. Sunken Valley - Very beautiful, with strong stealth and grappling hook gameplay, and surprising visual variety and connectivity with other areas.
4. No-Man's Wharf - Atmospheric. Ganks are punishing when rushing through but fair and rewarding when patient and clever. Strong storytelling through art, gameplay, and inference.
3. New Londo Ruins - Great lore, super atmospheric, and strong level design. Love the Darkwraiths, while the ghosts are interesting if annoying at times. Best lord soul boss despite being the only one absent from intro.
2. The Gutter - Best usage of the darkness/low visibility mechanic in series. Very layered level design that isn't too precarious but just enough to build tension, and its extremely gratifying to witness your progression by lighting more and more torches.
1. Undead Settlement - Still has some of the better layout in the series, lots of enemy types with encounters that reward the observant player, two strong minibosses, a lot of new NPCs, and great visual variety despite initial impressions.
While for overrated it would be:
5. Inner Ward - Just a bit. Great level but could never understand why so many see it as the best area in DeS.
4. Forsaken Castle Cainhurst - Visuals are amazing, sure, but story and gameplay are good. Just good. I mean, pretty linear design with as much as three different rooms just being overloaded with ghost ladies.
3. Anor Londo - Exceptional visuals and story, but gameplay ranges between some of the best in DS1, and some of the most annoying and unimaginative enemy placement and level design in the game.
2. Drangleic Castle - Walking up to it is great, but the visuals never reach that level again. Gameplay is quite decent but that's all. Did not live up to the hype.
1. Cathedral Ward - Looks way too similar to Central Yharnam. The art direction doesn't do the best job of selling what its story is supposed to be and thus doesn't do a good enough job to distinguish it; it just feels like more Yharnam. Enemies are pretty strong and varied, but level design is less so. While it has multiple paths of progression, each of those paths is narrow with little to no interconnectivity with or layering over or under the other paths, limiting the sense of exploration. One of those is outright BS with the need to do the usual Souls-style, ultra-janky platforming in the HC Workshop, and is probably the worst example of it in the series next to the Flamelurker shortcut.
TLDR; using Lloyd's Talismans on a mimic seems to count towards the total amount of mimics killed in that playthrough, meaning that the player could get the guaranteed Symbol of Avarice early
In my past 4 few playthroughs, I have been using the 4 free Talismans on the first Mimic in Sen's Fortress just to see how it worked and if it even worked. Then afterward, I go ahead and kill that one and move on.
First time this happened, I killed the 2 Mimics that had the coins and a SoA dropped. Thought it was neat, lucky drop I thought, and moved on.
Second time, the exact same occurred. 4 talismans, 3 mimic kills, SoA on the 3rd mimic. I thought that this must just be a lucky coincidence and moved on.
Third time. Exact. Same. That was then I started getting suspicious.
This current playthrough I did this whole thing one more time just to see if I was going crazy. I mean, that 1% chance couldn't have possibly triggered 3 times in a row on that one single Mimic, could it?
Nope. Happened again.
So, could y'all please confirm if I'm going crazy? Has this been noted anywhere? I'd think after all this time there'd be documentation about this.
