Dark Souls
I'm playing DS 1 and resennlty i've upgraded my sword and now it has also magic damage (before it has only phis damage) but when i hit enemies damage seems lower than it was. Can you explain what's the point of upgrading a sword with green titanite shard and give it magic damage

This is my first playthrough. It was not that bad honestly. It was easier without Solaire lol. I killed Ornstein first and spammed Smough with soul arrows until I ran out and did the last 11-12 hits with my Large Club+10. Those stupid Royal Sentinels were the boss for me.
I am level 45, my weapon is a Large Club +5, and Fall Control and magic shield. That stupid attack keeps killing me no matter what, I'M TRYING TO KILL IT. I can beat that boss if he didn't have that annoying attack!
Can't find the knight of Astorias summoning sign for this fight. Got to the second stage without him but keep dying.
Am somewhat familiar with the game, having played chunks with my cousin. Beat all the bosses so far with 1-2 tries. Got to the infamous Blighttown. Easy, no trouble whatsoever, only died to quelaag twice, explored the whole area. No idea what the fuss was about, easy fun area.
Sen's Fortress, went to fight the Iron Golem, the so called joke boss.
I died 11 times.
I kicked the bastard off to his well deserved death, but did I screw myself over in doing so? Am I missing anything as a result other than that gwyndolin covenant thing?
I'm starting my first ever Dark Souls playthrough. Keep in mind that I have never ever have played any Souls or Soulslike game. I have always watched DS YouTubers- Zerolenny, Otzdarva, Iron Pineapple. Lenny's Broken Sword playthroughs made want to try this out. So yeah, after years of thinking I'm starting this. So yeah, Pray for me I guess and I hope to have a good time in this community.
Idk I want to get ds1 on steam and get a mod for it but idk which one I should get
Am I the only one who thinks that the Bed of Chaos is one of the easiest fights in the game? I see people say it’s incredibly hard and don’t know how people struggle with it so much. I’m saying this as someone who had to summon players for some bosses. (I didn’t summon anything for this though)
(Based on Clifford the Big Red Dog book cover)
Does anybody have any tips against the Taurus demon? I know the jump off tower and attack thing but nothing else.

It's so exciting. it keeps you on your toes. it's hard, however not hard enough to be unfair. it's such an exhilarating fast-paced battle. the openings are fair, the entire fight is amazing. probably my favorite boss so far.
So I've looked around the internet and I still don't know what occult weapons do. I know about divine weapons, but occult I need a bit of help with. Can anyone clue me in??
