I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "NG+6 is NG+7" but when using NG+ in the context of consecutive playthroughs on the same character, the first playthrough (or cycle) is NG, and the plus is only added after the first cycle is completed. So NG+8 would be the ninth NG (or NG+) cycle.

I googled it and it says that the enemies stop increasing in NG+6 which is the seventh play-through and NG+7 is the 8th play-through

Again, I don't understand what "NG+6 is NG+7" is actually supposed to mean here. If I remember right, NG+7 is where the first game stops scaling up in difficulty, which is the eighth playthrough.

NG is the 1st, NG+ is the 2nd, NG+2 is the 3rd, NG+3 is the 4th, NG+4 is the 5th, NG+5 is the 6th, NG+6 is the 7th, NG+7 is the 8th

Yeah that’s what it meant

Journey 2 is ng+ so it’s only confusing because of the journey to new game ratio
