Admin Nomination - Matsczon

Hey everyone.

As many of you probably know by now, I am going to be taking a break from the Wiki. In light of the fact that there would be no active Sysop on the Wiki, I think it is more than fitting that I nominate someone for Sysop before I take my leave of absence.

I've been thinking on this for a while, and I don't see a better candidate for this position than Matsczon. Mats is dedicated to the Wiki, active every day on chat, mainspace, and forums. He has shown his capabilities of dealing with other users on the Forums and in chat, which makes me confident that he'll make a great Sysop.

I'd like to point out that this is not just a "nominating for the sake of having an Admin" thread. While it is true that a new Sysop is needed in light of me leaving, it is untrue that this is the only reason Mats is the person I'm choosing to nominate. I believe that he is more than qualified for this position, as well as dedicated to improving this Wiki on a daily basis.

I vote in support because Mat is a really cool guy, he is dedicated and nothing bad can come from this.

Oh but they don't have to provide a reason why they support it? They basically just reiterated what you said and that was it.

If the reason they give for voting in support is agreeing with the previously stated reasons, then that's the reason they voted in support. Whereas you gave literally no reason, so your vote is pointless while everyone else at least agreed to previously stated points.

Also @Nick, voting threads have to stay open for at least 3 days

Voted in supported, because being original is too hard, plus Mat has over 5,000 bloody edits under his belt. Most of those are probably comments, but I'd like to think a few of them are actual edits. So yeah, he's done a relatively good job. If I cared I would have done a way better job though, just saying.

Voted in support. Mats is an active, efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant user. With our lack of active staff members I can't see a reason why he shouldn't be promoted.
